Preeti Catering's Wedding Blog

The bride who thought of EVERYTHING!

As the title suggests, this blog is about a bride who was very thorough in the design and organisation of her wedding. Avneet’s attention to detail was clear to see from the very beginning stages of working with her. This was a bride who knew exactly what she wanted and ensured that her vision came to life. When she was having trouble finding table runners that matched the colour of our ruffle sashes, she made her own!

Whilst reading this, you may be thinking it’s unfair not to mention the Groom and his input, but I am sure Chris would agree that this was all Avneet and she deserves all the credit she receives for all the work and thought she put in to their very magical day :)

The Civil Ceremony

Our dusty pink ruffle sashes complimented Avneet's vision for her civil ceremony perfectly. These sashes add the perfect finishing touch to Froyle Park's chiavari chairs.

A note to parents

Avneet utilised the 'kid's room' which is already onsite at Froyle Park as a fun area for children to use during the civil ceremony. Adult- only ceremonies are very popular as they allow for a silent ceremony. Parents on the day mentioned that it was brilliant to be able to watch the wedding without having to worry about their children being bored or disturbing the ceremony.

The Drinks Reception

Straight after the civil ceremony, we had delicious hot canapes waiting for the guests to enjoy. Avneet & Chris wanted to serve a fun, fusion menu for their guests to enjoy whilst mingling and our mini burgers and fish & chips went down a treat.

The Evening Reception

During the drinks reception, we were also managing the turn around of the Grand Ballroom. We worked with all of the great suppliers to ensure that this was a smooth and efficient process. Avneet and Chris chose the perfect centrepieces through White Lilac to compliment the already stunning Grand Ballroom. Tables were alternating between dusty pink chair sashes and table runners so that each table had the perfect pop of colour without taking away from the centrepieces or the beautiful room.

The Little Touches

The wedding favours were handmade with love by Chris' Grandmother. Every guest had a jar of jam to take home and enjoy. Of course, this was not an ordinary jar, just under 200 jars were designed with a lot of thought! Other little touches included a Gin table which Avneet called 'The Gin Factory' where guests could personalise their G&T with some delicious cordials, this was definitely enjoyed by guests and was constantly being topped up throughout the night. There was also a delicious Cheese Board for guests to help themselves to until the late evening. Rather than a traditional photobooth, Avneet provided polaroid cameras and props for guests to capture those special and funny moments throughout the day. All of these touches made the wedding very personal and memorable, which I am sure Avneet & Chris' wedding guests would agree with.

The icing on the cake!

The meal ended as well as it started with a delicious dessert duo of Oreo Cheesecake & a Fresh Fruit Tart. Our #dessertprep ensures all 200 plates look the same and are ready to serve at the same time.

The Feedback

Hi Preeti, We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your hard work throughout the year for our wedding. You were the reason we booked Preeti Catering as you listened to our ideas, understood our vision and gave us your honest opinion. We cannot thank you enough for all your effort and hard work that you put in to make our day perfect. Everything ran according to plan and timings were spot on. Everyone noticed how dedicated you were on the day and how hard your team worked. All our guests commented on how delicious all the food was on the Thursday and the wedding day. We loved it! it's a shame you don't provide a take away service for 2 people! We have highly recommended you to our friend who we hope books you too! Kind regards Avneet & Chris
